I am a qualified integrative counsellor based in Witham, Essex, offering a calm, supportive and confidential space for adults and young people aged 11 and over.

My background and journey

Hi, I'm Lisa. I'm a qualified integrative counsellor and a BACP individual member based in Witham, Essex. I offer counselling for adults and young people aged 11 and over providing a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be heard. 

My Background and experience

Before qualifying as a counsellor I spent 20 years working in education  supporting children, young people and families. Alongside  my professional experience, I also have personal experience of understanding autism and neurodiversity. This has given me an understanding of how differently people can experience anxiety, emotional wellbeing , school and everyday life. 

 

How I work

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I don’t expect one approach to work for everyone. I adapt the way we work together around you, your experiences and what you need from counselling.

My style is warm, straightforward and down to earth. There’s no pressure to know what to say, explain everything perfectly or arrive with a clear idea of what you want to work on. We can start wherever you are. Counselling is your space. We work at your pace and together we can explore what is happening for you and what might help.

 

Professional standards and qualifications

You can expect counselling that is ethical, confidential and professionally supported. 

I hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. As a BACP member, I work within their ethical framework, attend regular clinical supervision and undertake ongoing professional development. Whether we meet face to face, online or over the telephone your privacy, wellbeing and trust are central to the way I work.
